Simpson House Inn Well, Well, Well HOME SWEET RETREAT... Sequester yourself from the urban melee at the Simpson House Inn in Santa Barbara, an elegant bed and breakfast. This victorian house was built for the Simpson family in 1874, and owners Glyn and Linda Davies restored it with utmost care and style. The inn is easy walking distance to theaters restaurants, and the idyllic Alice Keck Park Memorial Garden. You can park your car and not have to start it up again until it's time to head home; that alone is relaxation at its best. Need another reason to go? The inn is offering wellness weekends with expert lifestyle coach Rita Rivest May 8 to 10 and October 23 to 25. Rivest teaches guests how to have more energy, optimal fitness, to schedule in relaxation and spirituality, and how to prioritize their time. The package includes three nights accommodations; breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily; one massage and one yoga lesson; a one-on-one consultation with Rita Rivest plus two follow-up sessions. The program is limited to eight guests at $800 per person. The inn will schedule individual private sessions with Rivest, as well. The classes are part of the inn's enrichment programs, which also include cooking classes and art studio tours. Room rates: $235 to $615 per night, 800-676-1280, www.simpsonhouseinn.com, www.ritarivest.com.
